Would have had no problem hitting 2k despite not hitting 40 lbs per day. The tape measure was underestimating the lbs per day, apparently. It must have been around 50 lbs per day.

My 2154 fruit split a few days ago. It was incredibly thick too. I did not weight it, but have some pics in my diary. It was a rock.

Dang! Someday, a laser scanner will create an image of the pumpkin and it will be measured to the micro-thousandth of an inch from all angles, at the rate we're going. I've often thought that a huge container with perhaps water in it and the pumpkin submerged into it would yield a near-perfect measurement with much elaboration, externally-volumetrically. I just now Googled this and it seems it is already being done somewhere (laser scanning); Congratulations, Your Heaviness! eg
