I think moisture and humidity. Right from the start I didn't cover it with anything and when I removed the blossom at 3 DAP the lobes were mushy. It had been rainy and humid. Fast forward to now, I didn't have it covered with a tent like I usually do, or have a fan on it. It's also pointing north. Just a few guesses though.
