I did the same a week ago and now I regret culling the first pumpkin in a bad place because the new one farther out is much smaller and slower??? Decisions, decisions, best of luck just close your eyes and cut it.blossom does look different but a lot of growers cut them off anyways

How would I cut the blossom off? Just use a knife and cut off the end? Can I cut too deep on the blossom to hurt anything?

Slice until no brown showing..it does happen..go up to that brown ring and hopefully you'll get it all.
