I wouldn't expect "6-12 inches a day" if I were you. Ive never had much more than 6 a day. Slow and steady will do fine. Just take the first pollination 12 feet or farther out, and watch the fruit take off

Oh really? I've seen growers say they had the MV griw half a meter a day but maybe it's less here where it's colder

Or they were measuring wrong but I doubt that

But based on my calculations if my plants say do 4 inches/day on average from now to pollination and I have pollination at 14 ft that would be a pollination at ~July 26 still giving me 76 days till the last weigh off on October tenth

Good targets and realistic. A half meter per day is not a realistic target. Not for me anyhow.

Weiiiggghhh back in 2001, I poll'd my 845 Bobier with the 1140 Stelts on July 21st, resulting in my 728.5 '01. Now, it's my 'fiscal date' for last-minute pollinations, lol. Oh, I've run way beyond that since then, lol. eg

My plants are going a foot a day in every direction right now. Once the plant is well rooted on the main and a few secondaries, it'll take off.

What do you mean "it'll take off » in my opinion if it's growin' a foot a day it's already taken off

He means your plant will take off, once its healthy and established. I've never gotten a foot a day, but thats the fun of cold nights and phosphorus issues.
A foot a day is a nice goal, but the plant that grew my 1600 lber didn't grow more than 4" per day on average. Take that observation for what its worth.
