Anyone grow the 742.1 Frei (1385 Jutras ’07 X 898 Knauss ’01)?
How did it do?
Looks like an awesome cross and unique too.

I think Peter Frei himself grew it once and can say something about. If you have got one, plant it!

1302 Daletas 10 DMG - same cross

Now that the Gold Dust has settled, does anybody have an answer to my question?
I want to grow this seed but I want to know if has produced anything yet.

German grower Mathias Händel grew one. According to his diary on crazy-growers.de it was his best plant, but he pollinated too late and the pumkin splited (blossom end) on day 27 with 192 lbs.

He let the pkn grow for another 10 days and it ended up on 19th august with an estimated 330 lbs.

Here some information I got from Mathias about the 742 he grew :

"The 742 Frei was the healthiest plant I ever saw. First pollination didn’t work because of the hot temperature (37 °C day maximum). But, the leafs were absolutely heat resistant, and I didn’t have any burning effects . I think the split was due to the high precipitation rates in August.
Conclusion: Give that seed a chance; it has a great potential.
Kind regards Matthias"
