First up is Esther (1765 Young x 2029 Momirov) at day 44 and estimates at 736 pounds. I am an everyday measure person and I believe it can save your season. Esther was doing just under 30 pounds a day when she suddenly dropped to 20 and the other pumpkins kept their growth pattern. This got me to start looking deeper at the plant including the stump and all looked fine. By the 3rd straight day of 20 pounds or less daily I examined the underside of the stem intersection with the main and noticed there was a small wet section possibly from moving or vine stress. Now the area is scraped with a dusting of fungicide and a constant fan. Two days later the growth has increased 5 pounds a day. Measuring helped me find an issue while it was small and fixable. We spend way too much time in energy on these plants to not pay attention to every little detail.
