I can't believe it. What a roller coaster it has been this season! Much of this season has been a disaster but it looks like not giving up may finally pay off. I pollinated 7 pumpkins on the 2181 Masters, dumped several cups of urea down earlier last week. I came back from a storm chase after nearly 2 days and the plant completely flipped. Leaves darkened up significantly. Pumpkins spiked in growth! The lack of nitrogen may of been my main issue over the years. I've finally got one on the line! This pumpkin was on a secondary in the middle of the plant and I managed to move all the vines around it out of the way to set it up! I've still got a few pumpkins on this plant. Maybe I'll grow two as I can't seem to get one to take on the smaller plant. Back in the game!
