We're finally in the ground! I transplanted all five of my little seedlings and gave them their first plant food! Pictured is the hill with the most robust of my seedlings, not pictured is my smaller hill with my least robust seedlings. I sort of did some trials with my seeds. I originally ordered my AG seeds from Gurney's since, at the time, Howard Dill wasn't shipping to the US. Then, several months later, we were at Lowes getting supplies for the patch and found some AG seeds in a smaller packet there. I was a little peeved at myself cause I never even thought to check my local areas for these specific seeds. My husband convinced me to buy a packet and just see if they were the same. I noticed a pretty big difference when I opened the seeds a couple weeks ago to plant them, the Lowes AG seeds were a good bit smaller, browner and flatter and the Gurney's seeds were much larger and fatter. Obviously they're coming from the same place so it's probably just a coincidence that they were this different from each other, but I kept them separated so I could see which one seeded better. The Gurney's seeds sprouted quicker and made more robust plants, the Lowes seeds had a hard time coming out of their seed casings and made thinner but taller plants. I planted them in separate hills and the Gurney's are the ones that are pictured and transplanted easily, the Lowes seeds were pretty limp when I planted them and don't look as viable, but maybe they'll perk up in the next few days, just thought it was worth noting. I planted my backup seeds this morning and did the same thing, planted two Lowes seeds and three Gurneys seeds to see if I get the same results!
