So, I know everyone wants to do drip irrigation. However, the world record was grown on overhead sprinklers. Is the expense of the drip tape really worth it?
On the other side, is the overhead potentially better due to cooling/misting properties? Perhaps worse due to fertilizer residue on leaves?
I'd love to hear the pros and cons of both. I've been watering with a firehose and looking to upgrade to automatic water in the greenhouse for next season, so I'm curious on what's best.

For anything I I I'd have to say about it, you can type
drummond
into the search window and (there'll be 3; 4 with this post) see EvErYthIng that I have said about my system, including a link or two to my Diary; I have 'fun' with my system and just have not ever wanted to 'go drip', just because it is Alien to me, lol.
A barrel and pump, Whizzers system is the only weigh for me and I run off of a spring and use the line from the spring to fill the barrel(s), then I add fert and 'give each what they want' and with a valve closed, I water with straight, spring H2O for a next-day (24 hrs+) drench to 'wash it down'; I use MG and any water-soluble fertilizer that is cheapest and have no residue or anything and my plants are in good to great shape. This year, I am keeping all my fruits, whereas last year, I do believe, I had a site-wide Phosphorous deficiency OR I just figured out something this year that is yet to be disclosed. Either weigh, it is all working.
High hopes. Have a look, all winter for questions and good luck, regardless! Later---eric g
