What causes roots to seperate into two parts, an outer layer and an inner core? When you pull on the root from opposite ends they'll seperate into the two parts.

I remember reading this before but I can't remember what it is and can't find the info again.

Leaf stalks that do this = Bacterial Wilt.
Roots could be Rhizoctonia, Fusarium or Pythium.
Pythium is more mushy, faster so I'd suggest the former 2.

No pics yet, I'll try to get some today. The roots don't look bad, they look healthy from the outside. When you pull them apart the core has a slight green tint to it. I plan on spraying Aliette tonight as a foliar at 3 Tablespoons/gallon. We've had a lot of rain this month, more than we usually get this July.
