Folks, if you ever see something like this in the woods, RUN!!! Ha ha, 'cause it won't be Little Ketchup feeding those...ducks??? LK, it'd be cool to find a way to enrich the soil with leftover/forgotten pumpkins-only, thereby replacing the stuff they were made from...maybe aside from tilling them in--- eg

I dont think leftover pumpkin will hurt the soil but it probably has excess potassium relative to calcium. I do think like you do so I've thought about this... alas, I dont think the nutrient math works. Anything excessive becomes more excessive, anything deficient will remain deficient. A lot of growers remove the plant and pumpkin and start over with no recycled nutrients whatsoever.
These pumpkin piles will be gone soon, wont be long before 300 lbs of pumpkin will be 300 lbs of worm castings.
No clue what I am doing here as it pertains to tomatoes but folks can come along for the ride. Maybe grow some 1/2 lbers here next year, idk.
