Yeah looks iffy down in towards the blossom, too. Old age is not fun, you just fall apart... I'd say have faith but on the other hand maybe its just biologically done.

Little Ketchup- The area near the blossom has not been an issue and I think this tough skin has help reduce the chance of a split.

I dont mean a split I mean more of that dry rot gunk. In the photo, it looks like next area to fail will be just to the right of the blossom, in those growth cracks? Hopefully not! Thanks for sharing there's a lot to think about here? But for now, wish you the best w/ fans & new plans.

Little Ketchup- Those are callused over skin growth cracks.
