Ian if I remember right, you guys bury the vines usually. Are you going to try to not bury at all this year? Real interested to see how your vine health is throughout the season with this method. Best of luck!!

Perlite is 100% sterile, has no pathogens, no fertilizers, and won't let weeds grow if you put in 3 or 4 inches of perlite... but the roots will go crazy in it... I bet the roots will go down to the ground, even if you put in 4 inches of perlite. You'll soon see it... and soon many growers, especially in warm climates, will do the same. We have to improve our cultivation little by little...I hope Dave Stelts doesn't see this post... otherwise it'll be hard to get over him now... lol
