Last season, I experienced an abnormal amount of leaf burning. I did not spray the leaves with fertilizers. Tissue tests showed excessively high Nitrate NO3 ppm's of 17,200 and 25,600 in the two plants respectively.

Any thoughts if high Nitrates in the plants make them more susceptible to leaf burn from the sun?

Were these the growing leaves that got fried or the mature leaves?
