Do you already have 1000 sq ft plants or are you wanting to treat 1000 sq ft of soil? I use 1/8 teaspoon per gallon of water for foliar feeding and use maybe a gallon to treat a full size plant (650 sq ft).

With merit, more is not better and I,d apply only as the directions indicate.

3-4 teaspoons per 1000 sq ft is the rate for Merit 75WP when applied as a soil drench. I don't think a foliar application is as effective or as long lasting as a soil applied application and I believe its much safer for the bees. But I could be wrong, that's just what I've been told.

3-4 teaspoons seems like a lot? But that would be on 1 full grown plant.So maybe thats good? Treating smaller plants.I came up with Glens amount pretty much.I would add 1 tsp to 8-10 gallons of water.Then I would give say a 4 foot long plant 1 gallon of that drenched over a 4 foot by 4 foot area.I have 8 plants so this will work for me.Then pick off you males it will kill the bees.I have no bees in the kin caves.I treat the plants as a back up plan anyways.Outside I will pick off the males.Grow responsible.

Hey Bubba, your rate at 1/10 teaspoon over a 16 sqft area equals 6.25 teaspoons per 1000 sq ft. Twice what you actually need.
