Can this plant be saved? This may be like trying to clone a dinosaur from a mosquito trapped in amber.

Looks like you have a double and two singles all coming at once. You can terminate the double and let the singles develop. You can train one of the singles as the main and the other as a big secondary. Its not ideal but workable. It would be worthwhile keeping the dodo bird from going extinct:] Trim the very tip of the double to keep the hole in the tip to a minimum

Steve,
I'm growing the 603.5 Muller as well this year. It's one of my all time favorite orange producers. I grew my personal best of 1041 lbs. on it in 2007. Mine started as a double vine, but I think the next leaf node that's opening is single.
I've never grown a pumpkin on a ribbon vine. Cojoe may be correct with his observation/advice. If you are pretty set on growing this seed, I'd give it a some time and see what you can do with it.

Ma.

If that plant gets some night time heat and watered with only h2o for a week i would bet that it straightens out on its own.

I'm with cojoe. Do it soon so the plant can get its internal growth hormones sorted out.

I had one that looked just like that a couple weeks ago and just like George said, it has come out of it on it's own and is now growing normally.

I just finished growing a 923 Gerhardt (Male is 603 i believe) Mine kicked out a single after about 6 ft and I pinched off the continuing double. I had a secondary later that was double, and I experimented and pinched one side of the fused double and it continued as a single...
