We plan on adding long gourds, giant tomatoes, and tall corn to our patch this spring. Does anyone know what the Tennessee state records are for them?

I did a lot of searching back in the summer but I could not find ANY official record on any of those. Doesn't mean they aren't out there, just I didn't find them. With that said I grew a long gourd and tomato this year. They were official but I can't bring myself to call them records because of their poor size. LG 72.63in at Cullman. Tomato 2.01 lb certified scale

Ya'll beat that and it's the largest for the year we'll list it on http://www.ipga.us/Tennessee%20records.htm

After looking I did turn in the LG but that won't be a problem for you to beat!

No. The IPGA has the most complete list that I know of. It's maintained by Kelly Klinker. I just assist him in TN.

after doing some search a couple years back, I found out that a lot of states (State Fair's etc) do very poor record keeping!!! My suggestion, is to officially record yer growth on whatever fruit/veggie....post it online, and if no one tells ya yer wrong...claim the record!!!!!! Peace, Wayne
