Every vine I terminated this past season,I dipped in rootone, and the root system grew much bigger then the main root system of the plant itself.when my season ended most of the terminated vine ends snapped off in the ground because the roots had gone so deep.Has anyone else done this before?

I have a registered allergy against this indole-3-butyric acid. And this substance is not recommended for edible plants and fruits.
I make strong roots with actinovate.

I have wondered about using rootone myself, and your results are interesting. I might just try it on a couple plants and not just terminated vines. I can mark the treated root nodes with wire flags to make comparisons in the fall. Root rot has been a problem in my creek bottom soil, and I have been using drainage ditches, Aliette, Agri-Fos and a couple of biological products. I'm willing to try anything reasonable to get better roots. Since I won't be eating the pumpkins and I'm several thousand miles from the only person I have heard of that is allergic to it, I don't see a problem. I also plan to try some willow water, made by soaking willow cuttings in hot water to extract the natural rooting hormones. I wonder if any of the growers who are using clones have tried rootone.

I would do to same thing but eliminate the cow milk and go with the soy and camel juice to go along with all the beef jerky that one can make. Then put 2 yards of compost on top but eliminate anything over 7.2ph. That should do it for this year. Good luck.

Is rootone the product name. Or does it go by a different name in the stores. TKS Jim

Littlehud Rootone is the product name, and does amazing job to buid roots, when my pumpkin growth slowed down,I would add a quarter teaspoon to a gallon water and it would boost growth rates from 7to 12 lb a day.

You can get it at lowes green light rooting hormone.great for rooting cutting.use mixed in water like said above or wet cut end&sprinkle lightly on.it goes along way.
On the willow water for guik fix do like said above.to make it better cut 3' limbs stick in trash can&let root out so ur water is made of the juice from roots&not just the stuff that can make roots.
On topic of roots on cut ends what bout starting ags in buckets to gratto graft onto end cuts
