Yea, a hole in the keel sinks the 1,289 lb Time Bandit. I think it probably happened around the end of the first week in august when the weight suddenly came down from 30+ a day to mid teens then basically nothing a week later. Looked like it had lost a fair amount of fluid during that time period. You get a heavy dose of reality in this hobby, that in itself may be part of the allure. Anyway a huge congrats to Dale Marshall with the winning pumpkin at the Alaska Midnight Sun Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off coming in at 1,182 lbs. Also a huge congrats to another pumpkin grower on the way up Mardi Robb with her 430.5 lb entry.
