I am wondering, what seeds do you guys think will be the best based off of what's growing now in 2013? I have heard nothing but good with the 2009.

I'm currently growing an 854.5 Frei which is an 1161 Rodonis remake. Without a shadow of a doubt it will be grown again in my patch in 2014. Can't imagine there's many 1161's left.

I think I'd like another shot at this years seed, the 1596 Werner. Not very many of them left

I have little doubt that it will be one of the Wallace seeds. Out of Ron's 1872, 2009, and 1789, I'm just not sure which one will be highest in demand. There were so many of those above seeds in the winter auctions. Also, after buying his video (which I would highly suggest to anyone) I was blown away with just how generous he has been when it has come to seed requests. Basically, it's safe to say that a lot of those 3 seed types will be grown this year. Maybe as much as any other seed out there. Due to the massive number of growers, the odds are that at least a few of them will hit it big. I'm guessing really big! And, as we know, all it takes is a few produced super giants to make people want to flock to those seeds the next year. My prediction is that eventually one of them will rival the 1725 Harp in value.

That answer will come at weigh off time.. once the events happen and everyone is privy to the mothers - fathers...estimated weights and actual weights....only until then the consideration for 2014 will begin.....and then the auctions start and treat yourself to your gut instincts

I have an interesting cross going. It is the 335 Scherber crossed with a clone of the plant that grew the 2009 (1725 Harp). The 335 Scherber is a cross of a clone that grew the 1663 Zoellner (1421 Stelts) with a clone of the 1725 Sweet (1161 Rodonis). The 335s weight was low because it was basically just grown for seeds. My son is growing the 335 and the OTT measurements equaled his personal best with 50 days left to go until the weigh-off.
