Hello all! First off, I want to thank everyone for all of the help advice and seeds this season... You guys (and gals) are the best!

My pumpkin started getting these spots over the past week or so, does anyone know what it is? They are not soft spots and they have just started to produce a bit of liquid.

Never seen pumpkin coloration like that before, but I have seen stems turn the color of the one in the picture, and generally speaking it is a sign of bad things to come. I hope she pulls thru for you.

I was thinking rot when I saw it. I'm not gonna say what to do...but I think if it was me, I would probably take a spoon to it and dig out that rotty material, hit it with bleach solution or peroxide put a fan on it and sulfur it, repeat each day and try to keep it dry. I'm a bit of a noob so I would defer to some more experienced growers on how to get it to limp to the scales.

I think two weeks will be pushing it. My guess is that it is already starting to rot on the inside. I think you have the right idea though. Try and get it to an early weigh-off. I hope it holds on for another two weeks for you.

i had the same thing last year it was on a white pumpkin towards the end of the growing season i thought maybe i used to much liquid calcium it stayed ok for about 3 weeks like that but then they got soft and started rotting , my pumpkin was covered much worse than your pic i would say you will be ok
