Had afemale open up at 8 a.m. Pollinated it, but the flower is still wide open at 6:30 p.m. It was a nice sunny day about 74 degrees. I have never seen this befor. If it is open again tomorrow I will really be confused. Any one have any ideas?????

most growers protect all flowers that may open the following morning before polinated.....if flowers are not protected your polination is more than likely contaminated bugs, bees, etc...that would make that cross unknown what the true cross is aka (open) cross

in short...a controlled polination is manually opening the flowers, male and female, polinate the female then close the female flower with zip tie....binder clip or tie closed to keep form gettin contaminated

Seems like John Wayne always had a thing or two to say about how to handle a stubborn female...
