My question is i'm actually trying to push the pumpkins a little harder this year then in the past. Weve preety much had rain everyday of my kins life. I've got one pumpkin that I noticed has a split about 3 inches below the blossom. Its not real deep but I was wondering do splits like that usually heal or do they get a lot worse. well thanks for any replys

I think most season ending blossom end splits come from the inside.

Sulfur, fan, keep dry with a tent/shelter, pray, and indulge in strong drink.
PS: Keep moisture levels as constant as possible--don't over do watering.

Younger pumpkins tend to heal easier, but I had a 79 day old pumpkin that was off the vine for about a week when on its way to a display was run into a desk corner. During its display period it actually healed itself. So, the pumpkin can heal itself, just keep it dry and monitor it for any changes.
