Subject:  covering pumpkins

From last bad storm we had it broke a ton of leaves. Now with highs in the mid 90s my pumpkins are getting large yellow areas. Is it too late already and the pumpkins are going to ripen. or can they still put on weight?

those large yellow areas could represent damage from an uncovered fruit during a hail storm ( are they soft to the touch?) if so?, the outlook is not promicing.

on occasion a ripening pumpkin will sometimes also throw off some different color blotches as well. not sure without seeing it in person.

I covered the pumpkins yesterday pap. Went out this morning and the big blotches are turning orange. The heat and direct sunlight jump started the ripping... bummer. Did spend the next 2 hours covering the rest
