I will take this summer any day over last summer. By this time Last summer my grass was dead, heck even the weeds where dead, the heat and lack of rain last summer was ridicules.
From my experiences When mother nature brings the rain that is when I grow my best pumpkins! So keep raining on my patch. Judging by the way the corn looks in OH and PA there are going to be some monsters coming from this area!
Good luck.

60 mph micro bursts today! more like straight line winds. Destroyed one screenhouse and 1770 plant. We had one in June that took my 1811, so I'm down to one pumpkin around 300 lb @ 22 DAP so I can't complain.

Yup, I have survived every storm during this streak damage-free except this, the last one for a while. A few leaves knocked over, but it always looks like armageddon after such a storm. Tomorrow should look better. I don't know what I'd do without drama each year.

you must have been like me Joe, until the storms the last 2 days I have had ZERO damage because they have been coming from the southwest. While others in the Circleville area have had damage I've been lucky. Well today they came from the Northwest and that is my soft spot ( not a lot of damage though) So I would be willing to bet those who may have had damage in the past may have gotten by with very little damage today.
