I have a 150lb pumpkin on my vine in Georgia, but it is oozing snot out of the pumpkin... what is wrong with it?

Is it a split or just "sweating" gel beads? You are only done if it is a split all the way into the cavity. Sweating gel beads is common on some, and I had it in 2011 on an ugly thick walled pumpkin.

If it's just gel coming out the pores of the skin, you are fine, some pumpkins just do that, better this happen than blow it up,,,if its a big hole doing that different story, might be the beginning of the end,,,If its the pores, wipe it down with bleach water to just keep from getting soft spots.

If the sludge is dark yellow to brown you've got problems. If it is clear goo it just means the pumpkin is growing fast and you'll probably have a cantaloupy pumpkin.
