This is the first time i have ever seen or herd of the first pumpkin being so far out ! I will try to make it the keeper ! Anyone else ever seen it take so far for the first pumpkin ? JUst wondered !!!

Yup.....took my 1725 16 feet to have the first female several years ago......so be diligent in your pollination....techniques..... I didn't see a second female till 22 feet......Good Luck Im liking that 1579 a whole lot!

My 1579 is a terrific plant for making vines. It is big and beautiful and happy. The first (ugly looking) blossom appeared at 15 feet and did not grow. I culled it today. I have another pollinated at 17 feet and one around 20 feet. So similar experience as you. Tom K

My 1421 this year took 15.5 feet for the first female and almost 20 for the second.

My 1579 is a great growing plant...in fact all three I started were similar...it was hard to pic THE ONE>... However I did have a female at 10' apple shaped...my only plant with apple shaped females... the next one is coming....soon...Good Luck

1775 first female showed up for me at 14 feet this year. It was the first female on the entire plant. 1789 Wallace was the same for me last year. I think that isn't an uncommon trait for some of the 1725 genetics.
