Have any Pumpkins or other giant vegetables been grown using this or something similar ? Would an (example)1800 lb. pumpkin grown with something like this really be passing on 1800 lb. genetics or would it be 1500 lb. genetics ? Any opinions or thoughts would be much appreciated.
As far as how safe they claim it is on the food chain , I worked with a chap who was in Nam and was told something was perfectly safe ,you could wash in it to cool down. That was called ASIAN ORANGE and and he isn't around to tell you they were wrong.

If anyone remembers the exploding watermelons in china, this is what caused it. It was applied late and they had excess rain at the time. It is supposed to be applied to the flower or earlier fruit stage. It acts synergistically with natural auxins to promote plant cell division and lateral growth. If you are after the biggest pumpkin you want to optimize the nutrients available for it to grow. I could take an 1800lb seeds and grow a 1000lb because of nutrition deficiencies and lack of water, but the genetics are still there to grow far bigger. So, unless it is mutating the DNA, then I think it would be 1800lb genetics, the Forchlorfenuron just optimizes cell division. It does have know side effects in lab test.

agent orange killed my father in-law over a 15 year period, this in my opinion isn't much different, maybe diluted? I try to keep it as natural as possible. Seaweed or kelp can give you similar growth.

why would they bother to make expensive Forchlorfenuron if cheap seaweed delivered the same affect. look here at affect on tendrals after cell expansion http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=160828 http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=163274
the rest not hit were actually below average only about 6" in total streached out. Granted tendrils are not pumpkins but show me some similar with only seeweed.

ps my garden is crap so never any big pumpkins. it only gets 60% daylight and 60% of the days here are cloudy and cool 60f. as well it is on an average of a 13 degree boulder slope with only 6-10" of soil.
these things can not be fully componsated with any cytokin

agreed. be careful with it the same with any fert. As to much of anything is bad for us even organic fert dust is bad to breath in or exposure to skin over time will have an effect.
even sugar twin, BBQ, or sun eposure is a well know carcinogenic
