A $240 sprayer is unnecessary for only one plant, unless you really like spending money,,,a hand pump sprayer will work fine.

If you have one, two, or even three plants a pump sprayer will do fine.. Just my opinion..

For 75-100 you can get a 5 gallon STIHL backpack handpump sprayer (SG 20). That's what I use for 1200 square feet.

I just grew a pb of 1811lbs with nothing more than a $75 pump sprayer from Home Depot.I guess you could spend $700-$900 on one of those fancy wancy mister blowers and look good strutting your stuff all over the patch but i would spend my $ on something useful like growing supplies:)

I have a hand pump 30 dollar sprayer, it works fine, I'm suprised at it's durability. Yes, it would be nice to have a backpack automatic sprayer! If you can afford it, but one! but it does make more sense to buy amendments!

I grow 6 plants and I use a 2 gallon pump sprayer from Home Depot I got for $19.95. When ever you start something for the first time you should take baby steps, get some experience doing it before jumping in head first. It's like getting in to drag racing and buying an 8,000 hp funny car and racing it before you've even had one race.

Its all about time and money. I only grow two plants each year. I would love to be able to go out with a power sprayer and be done quickly. In the meantime my cheapo hand-pump sprayer gets the job done.

Ashton, I was looking for the same option, power mister but w/o spending the big $$. Risk being, if you buy something it could be crap. Spoke to John Nieuwenhoff about this because he bought a King back in 2010. Two seasons later he says he is happy with the purchase. The blower tube didn't like to stay together on it, but he was able to use some tape to fix it. That being said, I think I may take the dive on this piece of equipment this year.
