Just curious as to what a normal seed count is in a giant pumpkin ?
I got 150 in my 645 and not sure if that's low or high ?

a little low but not bad the avg is 200 to 300 on a good set pumpkin the bigger ones over 1800 lbs have 125 to 175 at most

Now we know why Jackson Reed didn't reach 1800 pounds Mark. It had too many seeds !

Come on Mark, get those 50 or so extra seeds out of your kin. Jackson Reed may turn out to be the next 1161 Rodonis. Take yourself a axe and bust it open and get them the easy way. LOL

I carved mine this weekend. There were no developed seeds in it. Just alot of shells with no meat inside. Likely due to extreme heat duing pollination!!
