So on 9/29 my pumpkin was 235 ott, today 10/12 it is 232 ott... It's still on the vine although the vine is dry and done. I've been covering it every night it's been cold and letting it get sun during the day. Not been watering much as the vine seemed done a week ago. But I didn't expect it to shrink!?

Might have sunk into the soil a bit or your original measurement was in a valley on the grounds surface or could be rounding off of the measurements or perhaps you taped in a bit of a different spot a 3" discrepancy in a 230+\- OTT is not really much when you consider all of the slight variances that can be introduced !

I've taped it the same all summer and it always goes up, this is the first time it went down. So I think it is just shrinking before weigh- off next week. Argh!
