I live in a small village in upstate NY we would like to organize a giant pumpkin contest for next fall. We thought we would begin in the spring by selling a variety of different brands of pumpkin seeds.
We arent sure how the advertising, organizing, entries, etc works. If you have had one of these contests and can give us some tips on how to get it off the ground please let me know. Thanks so very much.

The best thing you could do would be to make it a GPC weigh-off. I think you need to go to the GPC website. I think there is information there about joining.

well try to get a good well organized weigh off,, and be central to several,, growers ,, gpc is nice ,, dont get me wrong ,, but it takes a couple of yrs to get set up,, a few the 1st few yrs ,, then expand if need be,, but good show,, good family activities,, a small show can got a long ways ,, a few sponcers ,, radio/newspaper,, poster,, well u know what i'm saying ,, just my thoughts
