As we get ready for another BIG weekend of world class competition I would like to remind all growers of some things to make the big day go smoother for all.

1) Preregister on BP this makes a huge difference to the data entry person & makes their already tough day easier.

2) When you get to the site make sure you find out who the data entry person is & make sure they get your information. Some sites do not make preperations for this & you have every right to make sure your data is getting entered correctly. It is also asked that all results are uploaded to BP with in 24 hours of the completion of the weigh-off if not immediatly if you have an internet connection. If a site does not have an official measuring crew or they do not get your measurements please give the data entry person your OTT if you have it.

3) If you do not see the GPC rules, judgung hand book, prize structure, NYBG event,... ask for them every site must have these available to all growers & attendee's so you know what is available to you from the site & GPC.

4) If you have an issue with the judging & proceedure you must address it at the site. All judges decisions are final we do not have instant replay & can not make changes from the booth. If you do not feel the decission is fair you may cvontact your regional GPC rep & we will try to help resolve the issue BEFORE you leave the site.

5) Please make sure the site is focussed on keeping the growers & attendees safe if there is anything you see that makes you or others unsafe please speak up. The GPC strives for a safe enviroment for all sites we are handling up to 1 ton of pumpkin at a time & the need for heavy equipment is neccessary but the equipment needs to be handled with the upmost attention to the safety of the attendees.

There is more but just wanted to hit a few to start feel free to post more handy tips for weigh-off day.
