Fantastic pumpkin Jim! I have alot of respect for a guy who could have taken this Howard Dill winning pumpkin to his own clubs weighoff next weekend at Doylestown and would of easily won the $500 for the HD award there. He chose instead to take his beauty a week early to Cooperstown instead of having a conflict of interest. Way to go, Jim!

Jim, how many does that make for the Howard Dill Awards ? You may need to start building on another room.
Curt , your right . Jim`s a pretty straight shooter.
Congrats Orangeneck

Thanks! It's funny, I look at the pictures of me when it hit the scale and I've got that I'm smiling cause I have too look on my face. And then the pics of me after receiving the award I have a real smile on my face lol. It was disappointing to have it go so light but honestly I don't care. I'll still plant two ext year based off the results.
There will be a bunch of newer growers at doylestown and a lot of 811s I want one of our club members to have a really memorable experience this coming weekend. Also I wanted to put the pumpkin in front of some of the heavier growers.
We are looking forward to a lot of pretty pumpkins and unbiased competition for the HD award this Saturday at doylestown.

That is one of the nicest looking giant pumpkins ever IMO! Kudos to Jim for his continued breeding of orange genetics.
