Has everyone seen this post ? http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=4&p=449745
This is a new non GPC event and they are offering top dollar for the eastern US it seems. It is also a fairly central location being just north of Cincinnati.
They are hosting a 3 day event that sounds like it would be a lot of fun. If this is for real, I think it could become the premier weigh-off location in the eastern United States.

Everyone has seen it...we're trying to stay lipped about it so no one else sees it or shows up....it's all about the money! LMAO.
Hamilton is a tough "get too" coming from the South. It is in fact a little north of Cinci but from Cinci to Hamilton seems like a two hour drive to me.

FWIW, I think this is the correct place for posting the information...I'm not sure it's getting a fair amount of attention in the Weigh Off board......good thinking.

I heard a couple of terrorists were going to blow themselves up right in the middle of their weigh-off. Everyone should stay away. LMAO

It all depends on how much you need money pap. But people who grow pumpkins you must have a little to spare or they couldn't afford to grow pumpkins. I think that is a nice chunk of change though. But if any of us are growing for money, those growers certainly need to be in another business. I think this sport is a lot more about bragging rights and impressing people than anything else. Really it is too far for me to drive and I don't have that much of a pumpkin so I will not be there. But I think prizes that large are liable to attract a lot of good growers. I just wonder why they are not GPC affiliated.

If you had a 1,700 pound pumpkin, I am willing to bet that you'd take it somewhere other than Tennessee. It may not be about the money when you put the seed in the dirt but it all changes when you have a winner.

Poor people do Pap. I just got paid today. I took home $459 for two weeks. And I have lots of medical bills and I am by myself. I don't grow for the money but if I had a huge Kin I sure would be trying to win as much as possible. I didn't mean to upset you.
