So my uncle and I are renivating his backyard to make more room for giant pumpkins. And we are planning on putting up two big greenhouses or cold frames. What does everyone use to keep plastic to pvc pipe? thanks

You can use snap clamps or even spring clamps.

Big Binder Clips work OK from the store, they do rust after a year of use, but are pretty strong.

I use 1/2" Pipe for the hoops then I make my own clamps out of 3/4" pipe. Just cut them about 3" long and then cut a wedge out so that the remaining portion is a little bit more then a semi circle. It will snap over the top of the 1/2" pipe and hold your plastic on very firmly. I use binder clips for the ends so that I can open them easy.

for temporary cold frames, I'd use PE pipe cut into3-6 inch lengths and slit lengthwise. it is flexible enough to slip over metal or pvc pipe. if you are doing a season long greenhouse, use wigglewire attached to hip or toe boards or clamp the plastic between the hip board and a thinner batten board.
