WORLD RECORD BREAKER $30,000 PRIZE: The winner will receive $7.00 per pound upon completion of our weigh-off. If the winner breaks the world record – and holds it for the remainder of the 2012 season – he or she will receive an additional prize to bring their total winnings to $30,000 on November 1st. Example: a 2,000-pound pumpkin would receive $14,000 at the completion of our competition (2,000 pounds x $7 per pound = $14,000) plus an additional $16,000 on November 1st for a total of $30,000.
Pumpkin Buy Back Information The 1st place winner becomes the property of Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Patch 2nd-20th place pumpkins are eligible for our Buy Back program, if chosen, at the following prices: 1,000 lbs. + = $1 per lb. 500-999 lbs. = $0.50 per lb. 0-499 lbs. = $0.35 per lb. Only 2 pumpkins will be selected.

California has some strict new laws on bringing fruit across the state line. All large fruit weighing over 1500 pounds will be quarantined for a 14 day period in a very hot and humid chamber before being released. We've been having a problem with a particular pest that is threatening indigenous crop. An alternative to the quarantine is a re-route to Hoffman Farms in Oregon.
