Andy, If Carl can pull it off I think it would be an amazing accomplishment for a Cape Breton grower but I think Carl posted his 1634 Werner went down to BES the first week in August or did I "misinterpret" his posting?

I may be wrong here but it Carl grows a Canadian record he may even have a chance at the world record. :-)
Give me your address Carl. I'm gonna mail out the GVGO trophy now. :-))). We're gonna reprint the banners with your pic too. Lol.

Scott, almost positive the post was the 1634 splitting at around 840 lbs and I "think" his big one is the exact same pumpkin perhaps I am mistake. Maybe Carl will clarify for us.
The GVGO is sending out trophies and banners, sweet indeed. Perhaps they will also remember a member from last year that had a couple decent FP's as well :)

oh . thats right john, you were a member, i don't remember a photo of any kind on the newsletters that i recieved, i'm a member also, i saw maters ect. but no field pumpkins?, you would think that this would be a headliner, ya know growing two world records on one plant, goes to show ya, people like maters more than pumpkin pie! mmmm i'm getting hungry, i'm almost positive your right about carl's post, i just assumed he had a few pumpkins growing.

John, we had a parade here in Ontario in honor of those FP's because we heard how important it was to you that you get some recognition. Big huge floats and everything. I was dressed as the Indian from the village people. I guess they forgot to put the article in the news letter.

Excellent Chris,sorry I missed that. When you have a chance post the pics for all to enjoy as I am sure you looked stunning. Did you sing or lip sync?. I am flattered to tears with the parade and recognition as we both know the GVGO goes above and beyond acknowledging ALL it's members, and this is just one more example of that. All the best.

Thank you Andy.Nice to see somebody enjoy's it:) I think i spent more time viewing Dale Marshall's 2011 diary this year than i did last year while he was actually growing the 1634Werner.I have taken daily measurements on my 1634 and compared it to his numbers from 2011 and found it very usefull.Thanks Dale:)All kinds of things to learn while doing a little snooping.lol I just got home from Halifax with some treats for the month of Sept..dam there is lots of interesting growing supplies in those hydroponic stores and the people you meet there can have some really neat ideas ahaha. Anyway i would like to take this time to clarify something. The BLOSSOM SPLIT on the 1634Werner was a LIE..thats right a LIE...a little something to stir things up and have a little fun to try and forget about the mountains of work we face each day after just getting home from work.Sue me.If he lived close enough Andy would have me in cuffs by now Scott.lol Get over it gentleman..32days to Negeuac and nothing is bringing me down:)))

Good for you Edmund. In the original post, it was a simple thumbs up to Carl for putting it out there, win or lose. The first post by the good will ambassador of the GVGO was taken in good stride. The Ambassador's next post, well, not so much. GVGO out of province member Jim Bryson's photo looks great. John, the pic of you and your Mom is awesome.

Carl, I think that is the first posting this season you have made I can believe LOL. Hope it holds together, but be leery of whats "up on the hill" and beyond ;)
Andy and Scott I am not one for pictures but that was a special opportunity that will never present itself again and a photo that is proudly displayed here and I was humbled that the AVGVG requested to post it on their site last winter.
