I am wondering if anyone has ever scrapped pollen from the male flower and froze it to ensure that you have pollen when your female blooms. thanks Kathy

Kathy, I believe you can. The only thing is not to refreeze it after its been thawed out. There was even a guy in florida that successfuly pollinated some lilys after having pollin stored in his freezer for nine years..heres a link on how to freeze it properly. Mind you this is for DayLily Pollin

OK---has anyone other than the guy in video, ever done this? Tell me about it. I was unsuccessful in all my attempts at self-pollination this year, and this sounds like a solution. Talk at me, please!!!!

nukid..just google "Freeze Pollin" and you'll get tons of info. I even spoke to an Agronomist from UI one time who told me that a few grains of viable pollin was found in ice around glaciers from siberia, lol...I guess anything is possible
