Went into the patch this morning to see huge splits on the stem area of the kin. All the rain we got it really sent a surge of power threw the fruit. Anyone else have to deal with that?

Yep , happens about every season here ... IF it does not go all the way into the shell cut the split back towards the vine some with a knife to relieve some of the extra stress .

Blew three this week due to the rain! Maybe all the prunning and a couple culls!

Blew my best one out at the stem on Sunday. I upped the water a bit because it was warming up. Could the extra water have caused it to blow? Measured it after I found the split and it was still only doing between 25 & 30 Lbs a day.
