I have a plant that double vined. I left both main vines and they are both vigorous. the best fruit on that plant is about 18inches off one main vine on a secondary (14ft out the main). there are a couple other fruit out further on each main (21ft or so). should I wait to see if the main vine fruit abort before cutting it off? I have 6 other plants so its not my only chance at a pumpkin.

all my plants open polinated this year. the week of July 4th was just brutally hot. everything prior to that week aborted and nothing new polinated until about the 10th of July.
