Darren C (Team Big-N-Orange)

Omaha, Ne.

As any one had freaky pumpkins I was wondering if such a freaky kin will go the long haul to Halloween or should I cull it for a late bloomer, that is rounder.
Last year I had the same problem with a different spot and different plant. they would grow looking like a fat wrinkled cucumber. But they didn't get this big. and would die.
To cull or not to cull that is the question.

That a problem you will always get with these seeds.
Something different all the time.
I let them grow for something different.
One year I had a long tall green one.
I got a Herman Munster diagram and carved it.
Came out pretty good.

Darren, one year I purchased THE most beautiful wart-y pumpkin for Halloween and saved the seeds. Next year, I ended up with THE strangest looking wart-y zucchini thing. I still used it for the front porch!!!!

if your growing to compete you need to pass on any fruit thats got an odd ball shape. they never amount to much.
we spend to much time on our plants and products to settle for an acorn.
