I have a 1314Sperry plant pollinated at 30ft.The main will be termed by weeks end and when the rest of its secondaries are pinched the plant will be approx 800sgft.I don't see too many on the aggc site poll at that distance.Anyone ever try it?

hey your pollinations are in the ball park time wise so why not? just dead head everything as needed and go for it.time to pull those tools outta the bag. there are a lot of pollinations this year that are farther out tnan usual because of the early plant growth due to good weather and then aborts because of extreme heat during pollination time. you can do it.someone has to be the first. might as well be you pap

I'm in the same boat with my 1789 Wallace plant. I'm going to dead end the main right after I pollinate the flower in the next 3-4 days. I started a pumpkin on a secondary just in case the one on the main doesn't take.

I've done 26ft out before. The pumpkin taped 220lbs by day 20 and by day 26 blew itself up even though the stump and several feet of the main had rotted away. It ended up over 700 lbs.
