Hi all, tonight I noticed a lot of grubs in my patch. What should I do about grubs? Should I put down something like grub-x?

If you have Merit 75 wsp... use it...there will be no more grubs

yes merit them away. we have never had a borer problem (ever over the last 10 yrs) because we use these type sysyemic killers)before using merit and simular products? we did have to contend with them. all hail merit 75 sp.

ps--and we dont use no sissy traps either ---lol.
just kidding, use whatever works and grow a monster.

we use it mostly as a spray out of our back pack sprayer. you could im sure also use to as a soil drench however, for your purpose id suggest spraying above and below the leaf canopy.(1/2 teaspoon per 5 gallons of water) spray every three weeks from now through end of august.

Does Merit drench stop SVB as well??? If it is systemic then once the grub starts eating wouldn't it die ? I would think the Merit would be though out the plant.

In high enough concentrations anything eating on the plant (including svb larvae) will die since it is a systemic, thats why we use it.
