I had a good growing fruit on the 1789 until it aborted. I believe the heat took its toll and natural selection decided...ouch! Anyone else feeling it with the heat...

I'm having femal blooms abort even before they open up. Forecast for next few days is 99 to 100. At least we had good rain on Friday that is keeping the vines growing.

One extreme or another Kenny. My plant has not budged in two days as the grey clouds have blotted out the sun.

Forecast for the indefinate future: 60 degrees, grey sky and wet

It's supposed to be 100 today and 104 on Thursday. That is unheard of here in southern Wisconsin. Been getting up at 5 every morning to water my gardens. It's getting real old.

I stacked a bunch of ice around the newly pollinated flower. Along with a wet towel. I'vr been using a ton of neptunes harvrt to help with heat and wilting. The aborts are what kill me with three on the main its gonna take a few days to see if they took. I have one that was pollinated today thats about 16 feet on the main. Ive been coddling it as it may be my last hope for a kin on the main. Thats 5 lobes.
