Want to know how many of you have been successful pollinating first female to show on main.

if 6 or 7 feet out i poll them,, but usaully cut the after the next 2 show up,, 8 to 11 feet,, ,, just my way,

I have always pollinated any females that appear between 8' and beyond on the main vine. You can always cull any that you dont want.

I have Dave...and is usually the keeper as it always seems to be the fastest grower.
You got pollen? I might need some in a day or 2.

Pollinate it you can always cut it off later.

The reason why I posted this is because both my 1634 and 1596 Werner have 1st females at 16 feet. They should open by July 7-8. My 1634 hasn't thrown many females so I hope the first will take. Glenn I do have males opening each morning. Let me know.
