With a female opening on the main of our 1161 Rodonis tomorrow, we had to put out the call to growers near and far to try and find some pollen. With the plant at a pretty good size, I did not want to miss out on any pollinations.

I knew all the local growers in my area, are behind me in growth and would not have anything to offer, so I even reached out to the Island and Mainland Valley Boyz...but no luck.

First to text and call me is our good friend Chad Gilmore...he says he's got some 1818 Bryson pollen and he'd hop in his car and meet me half-way...we live about 100 miles from eachother...

Off on the Sea to Sky highway I go, both of us heading towards Whistler. I stop at the agreed spot and call him as to my where-abouts along the highway... as Chad pulls into the spot I had found in his hot 1969 Dodge Dart GT...nice!!

I thought to myself...sure hope no law enforcement types pull over and ask what the heck we are doing...ya right...picking up pollen from the big city from my farmer buddy in Pemberton!! A likely story in the bud capital of B.C.

Luckily no fuzz arived and we chatted briefly before he peeled away back onto the highway in his rod...

Thanks Chad!!

If you tried to explain to them what you were doing they would probably jail you as the story just doesn't sound right

I drove over 2 hours each way last year for some 1810 pollen. Of course I stopped at Bass Pro for some new rain gear. That was the only plus. All 3 pollenation attemps aborted!!
