My pumpkin was 26 DAP and growing 40lBS+ per day and just completed stopped growing.....what a disappointment. Nothing is ever easy with this hobby.
My main vine was terminated so I will have to pollinate on a side vine.

I haven't started a diary this year. The growth started dropping from 14", 12", 10", 6', 3", and then no growth. It was growing over 40lbs per day so I thought it might have split from the fast growth but I couldn't find any damaged areas by the stem or blossom end.
So I cut the pumpkin off the vine and will try to pollinate on the next available female.

How does the plant look? Any signs of yellow on the newer leafs or slower plant growth?

The plant is healthy except for some leaves that were burnt from the excessive heat. All the secondaries are still growing well.....and no yellowing.

Do you have something under your pumpkin? Mine stopped growing suddenly last year. I messed up and didn't put anything under the fruit. Something burrowed in from the bottom and suddenly all fruit growth stopped.

I always put sand and mill fabric under the pumpkins. A couple of females will open Tuesday morning. Hopefully I can get another good one going on the larger plant.
