what is the white looking substance I see everyone putting on the vines where they are trimmed and what is it for? I assume it is for disease prevention but I was not sure.

Also was wondering if neptunes harvest fish and seaweed could still be applied after pollination or should you stop for a while until you know you have a good fruit set.

fish and seaweed applied as directed will have no ill effects on pollination ,etc.(before or after )
its the stronger fertalizers that we suggest not to use a week before and a week after pollination. pap

pap what other fertilizers do you use? I have only been growing a couple years and I only know about using neptunes harvest, blood meal early in season and mychorrizae.

Probably captan or Daconil. Ask the growers directly by clicking on the envelope in the upper left hand corner of the diary.
