I was reading Don Langevins GP III and saw a neat picture of someone using an empty sour cream container and cutting out pointed plastic stakes for using as pot id stakes. pretty simple idea. Yes I save my popsicle sticks, and have bought others, but this way you could custon make to any size you needed to accomidate that worn out Sharpie!!

At most any yard sale, you will find a set of blinds (Venetian)? Lil plastic strips, hung together w/ strings? Ya know what I am talkin about? Now cut the strings and you have 3' plastic strips...Cut them to yer desired length!!! Now you have 300 plant markers!!! Go to Wally World, and buy a Paint Pen!!! Dun dealio!!! If you use a magic marker, it will disappear in the sunlight!!!! Go and spend the $1.89 for a paint pen!!!Peace, Wayne

I used to use the plastic spoons also, but now I use a 10ft or sometimes a 20ft treated 2x4 with post driver for my plant markers, I then spray paint the name of the seedling on it. Just make sure when you do this your not driving the 2x4 to close to the seedlings stem cause you could damage your roots.
Biz gave me this idea and it works great. Here is a picture of Biz marking his seedlings.

Oh, forgot this, once you drive your 2x4 in approx 6ft into the ground I then fill the hole half full of quick creat and then fill the rest of the way up with soil.

Rent a worker works, people need to work, I had t-shirts made with the seedling on them, they where the shirt, then stand there all day on walking boards.
